How to play Dice Poker
Dice Poker plays like a quick hand of poker, with five dice instead of cards. Each round, both players roll, and the better hand wins. First to three rounds wins the game.
- Roll all five dice.
- Keep the dice you want by tapping them, then roll the rest once more. Or stand with what you have.
- Compare hands. The higher hand wins the round. If the hands are the same type, the higher numbers win.
The hands, best first
- Five of a kind: all five dice the same.
- Four of a kind: four the same.
- Full house: three of one number and two of another.
- High straight: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
- Low straight: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
- Three of a kind: three the same.
- Two pair: two different pairs.
- One pair: two the same.
- Nothing: no matches and no straight. Highest dice decide.
Quick tips for better hands
- Keep your biggest group. With a pair or three of a kind, roll the other dice for more of the same.
- Chase a straight carefully. Keep four in a row only when you have nothing better.
- Know when to stand. If you go second and already beat your opponent, stop.
