How to play TriPeaks
TriPeaks is a quick, fun solitaire game with three overlapping peaks of cards. Clear them all by building long chains on the waste pile.
- The deal. 28 cards form three peaks. The bottom row is face up; the rest turn over as the cards covering them are cleared.
- Play one up or one down. Move a face-up card to the waste pile if it’s one rank higher or lower than the top waste card. A 7 can go on a 6 or an 8.
- Kings and Aces connect, so an Ace can go on a King and a King on an Ace.
- Draw when stuck. Tap the deck to turn a new card onto the waste pile.
- Clear all three peaks to win. When the deck runs out and no card fits, the game is over.
Quick tips for clearing the peaks
- Build long chains. Going up and down lets you play many cards before drawing again.
- Prefer cards that uncover others. When two cards fit, play the one that turns a new card face up.
- Look ahead along the chain. 6, 7, 8, 7, 6: zig-zagging can clear more than going one way.
- Work on all three peaks. The tops are the hardest to reach, so open each peak early.
