A Four in a Row line can run across, up or diagonally. Practise all three ways to win, and learn what happens when the grid fills up. How Four in a Row works · lesson 2 of 3.
The lesson in words
A line of four can run across a row.
Try it: You have three in a row along the bottom. Finish it.
It can run straight up a column.
Try it: Win with a line going up.
And it can run diagonally. Diagonals are the easiest lines to miss, for you and for your opponent.
Try it: Finish the diagonal.
Across, up and diagonal: always check all three. Next: stopping your opponent’s four.
