Sudoku basics: columns and boxes
The Sudoku rule works the same in columns and boxes as in rows. Practise finding the missing digit in a column and in a 3×3 box. How Sudoku works · lesson 2 of 2.
The lesson in words
Columns run from top to bottom. Column 2 has one empty cell left.
Try it: Fill the last cell in column 2.
The same goes for every 3×3 box. The bottom-right box is missing one digit.
Try it: Complete the bottom-right box.
Rows, columns and boxes: the same rule three ways. Next: a quick rules check.
