Four in a Row trap: don’t fill the space below
In Four in a Row, the space under your opponent’s threat is poison. Learn to spot it so you never hand them the winning spot. Winning ideas · lesson 3 of 4.
The lesson in words
Ivory has three in a row on the third row. The fourth space is empty, but nobody can play there yet: the space under it is still empty.
Try it: Tap the space Ivory needs.
If you drop a disc into column 5, it lands right under Ivory’s winning space, and Ivory wins on top of it.
Try it: Make any move that doesn’t hand Ivory the win.
Before every move, check what your disc lets the other player do next. Next: odd and even rows.
