How to win at checkers

You win at checkers by capturing all your opponent’s pieces or leaving them with no legal move. Learn both ways to win. How checkers works · lesson 6 of 6.

The lesson in words

You win when your opponent can’t move. Usually that’s because you’ve captured all their pieces.

But it also counts if their pieces are all blocked.

Black has one piece left.

Try it: Win the game.

Black’s last piece is in the corner on h8. Its only move is to g7, where your piece stands, and your piece on f6 stops it jumping. Keep it that way.

Try it: Win by leaving Black with no move.
